These aren't marketing lines. They're decisions the whole project is built around.

Dissent takes no money. Ever.
No subscriptions, no premium tier, no ads. It isn't a stage we'll grow out of; it's how the project is built. People who run nodes may cover their own costs. Dissent itself earns nothing.

No tracking.
No ad profiles and no selling data. This website has no analytics or trackers either.

No company in the middle.
The network is made of independent nodes. There is no central server to buy, pressure or switch off.

No official plugin store.
Each node runs its own plugin market. Nobody sits above them deciding what's allowed.

Honest about security.
We say exactly what is encrypted and what isn't, and we update it when that changes, not before.
